November 1st 2014 will mark our seven-year anniversary at historic 50 Albert St. We’re so happy to be in such a beautiful space; if you have yet to see it for yourself, now’s the time! Before Dr. Shenker took over the Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, 50 Albert Street was home to another talented cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Peter Wyshynski. Dr. Wyshynski was a member of Waterloo’s Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee. He invested a great deal of time and resources into reconstructing and restoring this beautiful Edwardian home. It was important to Dr. Wyshynski to restore the home’s unique interior while preserving its Edwardian period style; rich in character and charm.
Built in 1903 by Charles Moogk, the engineer for the town of Waterloo, the house was designated a Heritage Landmark building in 1983. It belonged to the famous Seagram family from 1929 to 1990 and was then sold to cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Wyshynski. Restoration and interior design prioritized patient comfort and enjoyment above all.
Fast forward to the present day… the Cosmetic Surgery Clinic now resides in this architectural masterpiece. After nearly seven years in the space, we are performing a little facelift of our own, both outside and inside the building. This year’s goal: To make The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic even more beautiful and enjoyable for our patients. We hope to transport you from the bustle of Waterloo into a serene and sophisticated centre for wellness, beauty and personal growth.
