JUVÉDERM® dermal filler is a soft, replenishing, injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar found in your body. It works by giving volume to your skin to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and thinning skin. It also works to enhance and define lips, cheeks, and jaw line. Hyaluronic acid injections have been shown to stimulate collagen production. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a complex sugar found in all living cells and an important component of the skin, along with collagen and elastin. What to expect.
JUVÉDERM® dermal filler is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce injection discomfort. The smooth consistency gel of JUVÉDERM® dermal filler allows it to be administered easily and smoothly. Bruising, tenderness and swelling are possible following JUVÉDERM® dermal filler injections but subside quickly. While improvement may be seen immediately, full results typically become visible over the 2 weeks following treatment and enhance further over the following 6 to 8 weeks; however, experiences vary.
