Cheers to 10 years.

Ten years ago today, November 1st, 2007, I became the owner and medical director of the Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, and my, what an adventure it has been! I thought I would take a few moments to reflect on these last 10 years, and I thought I should share those thoughts with you. I am so honoured to be able to carry on the work started by Dr. Peter Wyshynski, who bought the historic Seagram house in 1990, and converted it to the modern medical and surgical clinic it is today. I am always proud to tell our patients that top-notch … Continue reading »

A few words from the desk of Dr. Shenker – What’s up with the long wait times?

November 1st, 2017 will mark the 10 year anniversary of the day I took over the Cosmetic Surgery Clinic from the great Dr. Peter Wyshynski. My goal since that day has been to continue to provide the outstanding service and excellent care that Dr. Wyshynski always provided his patients. The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic has been blessed with great success and rapid growth over these last 10 years. The diversity of services we offer is vastly greater than ever before. The number of staff we employ at the clinic is much greater than ever before. I have been blessed with the … Continue reading »

Every breast reduction also involves some … Continue reading »

Male breast reduction surgery in London, ON Many of our patients know Dr. Shenker as the founder, principal surgeon, and driving force of our clinic. But not everyone knows that he has personal experience as plastic surgery patient. The procedure in question? Gynecomastia, a.k.a. male breast reduction. Having enjoyed the benefits of this surgery, and the resulting improved body image himself, Dr. Shenker has a unique perspective on this particular patient experience. Knowing first-hand how impactful this procedure can be, he is committed to educating prospective male patients about this surgical option to improve the appearance of their chest. “I … Continue reading »

A few words from the desk of Dr. Shenker – Blurry lines.

My eyesight is perfect, but sometimes I see blurry lines. I don’t mean the lines of newsprint in my newspaper, or the lines in the plastic surgery journals that I read. I mean the lines between boundaries that separate the sub-disciplines of plastic surgery. I mean the lines between what we think we believe, to be true, and reality as others around us see it.

Last week at the White Party, a fashion show fundraising event for my hospital’s breast reconstruction program, I ran into a former cosmetic breast augmentation patient of mine. She is a beautiful, talented, young and … Continue reading »
