What is BELKYRA?
BELKYRA is a safe and effective injectable treatment. The procedure a leading nonsurgical option for submental fullness today, and when performed by a skilled and trained medical specialist, the double chin treatment helps to reduce the fat layer below the chin for a refined and rejuvenated jawline.
The injections are composed of a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a fat-metabolizing agent that is found naturally in our bodies. Once injected, this substance works to break down the membranes of targeted fat cells, causing them to collapse and be processed naturally by the body.

Treatments are quick and simple, similar to other injectable services at our clinic. We begin by cleansing your neck and providing a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort. Next, we plan where we want to administer the injections by making small marks on your skin. Most people require several injections, placed about a centimeter apart, for optimal results. We perform the injections quickly: The whole process takes only about 30 minutes.

There is very little downtime associated with BELKYRA, and patients can expect to return to their normal activities immediately following treatment. Patients may experience some swelling, tenderness and bruising around the injection site, which should dissipate within a few days.
How many treatments do I need?
Depending on the amount of fat in the area, the procedure may be repeated 2 to 6 times over several months for optimal outcomes.

While experiences vary, patients typically see a gradual reduction of fullness in the area over a period of 2 to 4 weeks following each treatment, eventually resulting in the desired facial profile. How long do results last?
