This trichloroacetic acid (TCA) chemical peel contains a blue base that allows us to control the depth of the treatment. In addition, your provider can adjust the concentration of TCA (20% to 26%) depending on the condition of your skin and your available downtime. After treatment, the skin retains a bluish tint for about 2 to 3 days until peeling begins. It takes about a week for the peeling to finish and about 7 to 10 days for the skin to heal.
