FaceTite & BodyTite Skin Tightening

Advances in nonsurgical skin tightening and body sculpting treatments offer women and men from Cambridge, Windsor, London, and Guelph, Ontario, and surrouding areas the opportunity to restore firm, smooth contours without undergoing a facelift or any other facial rejuvenation or body contouring surgery. FaceTite and BodyTite by InMode are breakthrough fat reduction and skin tightening treatments performed at our Waterloo-Kitchener clinic that require minimal downtime and no incisions.

What Is FaceTite?

Many women and men who look in the mirror—or at themselves on video calls—and see their skin is starting to lose its elasticity want to address those concerns without facial plastic surgery. FaceTite is a revolutionary treatment developed to meet the needs of these patients who want to target small areas. The FaceTite applicator delivers focused radiofrequency (RF) energy to both the skin's surface and the underlying tissue—the dermis—using a very thin probe that's inserted below the skin.

How Is Facetite Different From Other Skin Tightening Procedures?

FaceTite sets itself apart from other nonsurgical RF skin tightening treatments with this dual approach, ensuring comprehensive results with firmer skin and reduced fat.

Who Can Benefit From FaceTite?

Excellent candidates for FaceTite are concerned about mild sagging and fullness caused by excess fat. Women and men with more obvious jowls or loose neck skin might be better off getting a facelift.

The most common concerns of patients who get FaceTite treatments include:

  • Jowls
  • Loss of definition along the jawline
  • Excess volume beneath the chin
  • Loose, wrinkled skin on the neck

If your primary concern is the appearance of a double chin caused by excess fat, you may want to consider BELKYRA™, an injectable treatment that reduces fat below the chin.

Can FaceTite Be Combined With Other Treatments?

Yes. Combining FaceTite with other treatments produces excellent facial rejuvenation results. Popular options include:

We'll discuss your specific goals and the best treatment combination options to achieve those results during your consultation.

FaceTite vs. Facelift Surgery

FaceTite works best for tightening mild to moderate skin sagging of the lower face, jawline, and neck in people who aren't ready for surgery. People with more pronounced jowls or significantly loose skin on the neck, may need facelift surgery to attain their desired rejuvenation.

How Much Does FaceTite Cost in Ontario?

The cost of a FaceTite treatment depends on your specific concerns, the experience and training of the surgeon, and the geographic location of the practice, among other factors. After determining that you're a good candidate for the procedure during your consultation, we'll provide a specific price quote for you to review before scheduling the treatment.

FaceTite Recovery

Recovery after a FaceTite treatment typically takes 4 to 5 days, after which most patients can return to work and regular daily activities. Expect discomfort, swelling, and bruising in treated areas for a week or two. It is important to wear a compression wrap for 1 to 4 weeks to minimize swelling.

What Is BodyTite?

Using technology that revolutionized nonsurgical body sculpting treatments, BodyTite slims areas by reducing stubborn fat pockets and tightening lax skin during a single, minimally invasive procedure. Similar to FaceTite but designed to address larger areas, BodyTite heats deep tissue layers with radiofrequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL). The controlled heating melts fat and stimulates the production of skin-tightening collagen, improving the tone and contours of the abdomen, chest, thighs, or virtually any place on the body where excess fat accumulates. In most cases, BodyTite is combined with liposuction to improve fat reduction in the treatment area.

Who Can Benefit From BodyTite?

BodyTite is an excellent liposuction alternative for people at or near their ideal weight but who can't get rid of that last little bit of excess fat and moderately loose skin in trouble spots. BodyTite is also an option for adolescent males or men with excess skin laxity and fatty tissue in their chests—a condition called gynecomastia—who cannot get a good result with liposuction alone.

BodyTite is best for these areas:

  • Thighs
  • Buttocks
  • Back
  • Arms
  • Abdomen and flanks

How Much Fat Can BodyTite Remove?

It's important to understand that BodyTite is not a weight loss procedure and patients should have realistic expectations about the potential results. Men and women who exercise regularly and live healthy, active lifestyles typically are very happy with the long-term outcomes of BodyTite treatments.

What Happens During a BodyTite Procedure?

The BodyTite procedure involves putting patients under general anesthesia. Two probes connected to the BodyTite handpiece deliver radiofrequency energy. After your surgeon makes a small incision in the treatment area, one of the RF-transmitting probes is inserted while the other probe glides along the skin's surface. The thermal energy liquefies fat cells and contracts and tightens collagen fibres to improve the skin's elasticity. New collagen will continue developing over time.

Treatments typically take 30 to 45 minutes for one area. If, for example, you're treating the flanks or thighs, the appointment may take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.

How Much Does BodyTite Cost in Ontario?

As with FaceTite treatments, the cost of a BodyTite procedure will depend on the area or areas being treated and the surgeon's training and experience, along with other factors.

BodyTite vs. CoolSculpting®

Both BodyTite and CoolSculpting are nonsurgical body sculpting procedures that provide gradual results. Here are some differences:

  • BodyTite provides mild to moderate skin tightening using RF energy. It also provides some minor fat reduction by melting the fat. BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that involves inserting a tiny probe under the skin while the patient is asleep under general anesthesia. Most patients are ready to return to work and daily activities within 1 to 3 days. Many patients notice tightening right away that continues to improve for 6 months or longer with increased collagen in the skin.
  • CoolSculpting is strictly a fat reduction treatment best for small to moderately sized areas of fat. It involves freezing the fat with an applicator placed on the surface of the skin. No anesthetic, incisions, or downtime are required. Results develop gradually starting 1 to 3 months after treatment.

How Is BodyTite Different From Other Nonsurgical Skin Tightening Procedures?

What makes BodyTite unique is that it delivers RF energy above and below the surface of the skin at the same time. It is minimally invasive because a tiny probe is inserted under the skin. Other nonsurgical skin tightening procedures deliver different types of energy such as radiofrequency, ultrasound, helium plasma, or a combination to the surface of the skin only or underneath the skin only.

BodyTite Recovery

Most patients can return to work and regular non-strenuous activities 1 to 3 days after a BodyTite treatment; however, experiences vary between patients and treated areas. Expect minor swelling, bruising, and soreness in treated areas for a week or two. You will need to wear compression garments to minimize swelling as you heal.

FaceTite & BodyTite FAQ

Will I need more than one FaceTite or BodyTite treatment?

Patients typically need just a single treatment to attain their desired results.

Is BodyTite a nonsurgical alternative to tummy tuck surgery?

When skin laxity is mild to moderate and abdominal muscles do not need tightening, BodyTite can take the place of a tummy tuck. If your concerns are related to pregnancy or significant weight loss, it's likely you will need surgical tightening. Our surgeons can help you choose the procedure that is right for you during a personal consultation.

Does nonsurgical skin tightening really work?

BodyTite and FaceTite can provide satisfying results in appropriately chosen patients who have realistic expectations.

Is nonsurgical skin tightening painful?

Our surgeons perform these skin tightening treatments using local anesthetic, general anesthetic, or both, so patients don't feel anything during the procedure. Afterward, patients tend to feel sore but not in pain; however, experiences vary.

Is there anything I should avoid after treatment?

While you will be provided with post-op instructions before your procedure, here are some important precautions to be aware of:

  • Avoid lying flat for the first few days to minimize swelling after FaceTite. It is helpful to sleep in a recliner or propped up in bed with pillows.
  • Avoid using retinol or other irritating products on the skin for the first few weeks.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for the first few weeks as directed; however, light activity is encouraged as soon as possible.
  • Do not pick or remove any scabs from where the treatment probe was inserted.
  • Hold off on soaking insertion points in baths, swimming pools, hot tubs, or other water until cleared by your doctor.

Will my results be immediate?

Patients often notice an improvement right after their treatment. The skin will become firmer and tighter for approximately 6 months as collagen develops and treated fat is flushed out of the body.

How long will the results last?

Results from FaceTite and BodyTite are long lasting when patients maintain their weight and do not become pregnant. The aging process will continue so additional treatments or surgical procedures may be needed in the future.
