Q: What’s the most common concern your patients have when considering a Soft Lift™ treatment?
Without a doubt, looking natural is the biggest worry that people have when they begin exploring facial rejuvenation with injectables. This is not an unreasonable concern, as there are many examples–especially in our age of social media–of work that does not blend in seamlessly with an individual’s natural features. When this happens, patients end up with unnatural results which can draw attention in all the wrong ways. Working with a skilled injector who uses advanced techniques is the best way to ensure beautiful and flattering outcomes.
Q: What is the benefit of a non-invasive facelift, like Soft Lift™, versus a single treatment approach?
Just like making a cake requires more than one ingredient, addressing the signs of aging requires more than one treatment method. With regards to injectable techniques, this involves combining BOTOX Cosmetic® and fillers to achieve the most natural outcomes. For instance, if you solely focus on relaxing the frown lines on your forehead, but you neglect the wrinkles and volume loss around the mouth, the final result will look somewhat off-kilter. By using dermal fillers to smooth lines around the mouth, rebuild volume around the cheeks and under the eyes, and redefine and plump the lips, we can achieve facial rejuvenation that is harmonious, balanced, and most of all naturally beautiful.
Q: How do facial contouring and shaping work?
Research has shown that an inverted triangular face shape is perceived to be the most attractive to the human eye. Sometimes we naturally have a more pronounced jawline, or, as we age and gravity takes hold, the jawline tends to become bulkier while the cheek and temple area become diminished. Using both BOTOX Cosmetic® and fillers, we can apply face shaping techniques to create a more youthful and flattering inverted triangle shape.
Q: How often will I need to get treatments?
The regularity of treatments will vary based on how quickly you metabolize the BOTOX Cosmetic® and/or filler treatment. BOTOX Cosmetic® generally lasts 3 to 4 months and requires more frequent upkeep than fillers which can last from 6 to 12 months. The good news is that with consistent treatment, it’s not uncommon to require less product to achieve your results.
Q: If I get BOTOX and filler treatments, will I be able to forgo laser?
If you want truly rejuvenated and glowing skin, then the answer is no! BOTOX Cosmetic® and dermal filler can correct the visible signs of aging like expression lines and folds, but they can’t reverse the signs of sun damage like uneven pigmentation, facial redness, and enlarged pores. For these skin health concerns, laser and light therapies are a must! They go hand-in-hand with injectables in any thorough facial rejuvenation plan.
Q: What about the role of surgery—like a facelift or eyelid surgery?
