New at TCSC: HALO™ Hybrid Fractional Laser.

Cosmetic Surgery Clinic Waterloo ON - Halo laser

At The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, we know that laser therapy is one of the most effective and lasting ways to keep your skin healthy and glowing. Beauty Nurse® Natalie has access to a range of laser technology to provide a completely customized treatment based on your individual needs and concerns. This month, we’ve added another powerhouse laser skin rejuvenation treatment to our lineup in Waterloo, ON: the HALO laser.

What is the HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser?

The world’s first hybrid fractional laser, HALO can address skin concerns ranging from wrinkles and fine lines to substantial sun damage without the discomfort or downtime patients have come to expect from laser treatments.

How does HALO laser work?

The HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser works by combining both non-ablative and ablative laser technology, which allows for a completely customized treatment. While the non-ablative laser targets the top layers of the skin, smoothing away dulling surface cells to reveal renewed and refreshed skin, the ablative laser goes deeper to correct concerns like scarring and wrinkles. This specialized combination allows HALO to address multiple skin concerns, giving patients maximum results with minimal downtime.

What does HALO laser treat?

HALO is indicated for the treatment of:

• Skin texture & tone
• Pore size
• Wrinkles & fine lines
• Scars
• Sun damage
• Pigmented lesions (a.k.a. brown spots)

What should I expect from a HALO laser treatment? Does it hurt?

With a topical anaesthetic applied prior to your treatment and HALO’s integrated cooling technology, most patients experience very little discomfort during treatment. You may feel some heat, combined with an occasional prickling sensation as the treatment is underway, but you should not feel any pain. In general, you can expect your HALO treatment to be more comfortable than traditional laser resurfacing treatments.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required will vary based on the condition being treated, as well as your overall treatment goals. During your initial consultation with a member of The Beauty Nurse® team, the ideal number of treatments will be discussed.

What’s the recovery like?

When compared with traditional ablative lasers, the recovery period following HALO treatments is nearly cut in half. (Our ProFractional™ laser, discussed in this blog post, is another fractional laser option.) Immediately following your treatment, your skin will continue to feel warm for 15 to 30 minutes. You may experience some redness and swelling, which should subside after 24 hours. At this point, though you may start to experience some peeling, you will be able to put on makeup and return to your regular activities.

When will I see results?

You should begin to see initial results within 2 to 5 days following your HALO treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see a great improvement within 2 to 3 weeks.

How much does a HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser treatment cost?

At The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Waterloo, the cost of a HALO treatment ranges from $1200 to $1500; however, we recommend a series of treatments and have package pricing available.
