The ZO® Controlled Depth Peel™.
We are very excited to announce that we have added the ZO® Controlled Depth Peel™ to our roster of advanced in-office skin treatments. Also known as the ZO Blue Peel, this non-invasive procedure provides breakthrough results for scarring, severe laxity, severe texture damage and advanced melasma. Until now, the most efficient way to address these skin concerns has been through laser, light and radiofrequency devices.
How it works.
The principal exfoliating agent of this peel is trichloroacetic acid (TCA). The acid peels away the old, dull layers of skin and unwanted pigment. The TCA is mixed with blue colouring, allowing us to monitor the depth and effectiveness of the peel for optimal results.
The peel is also formulated to awaken the fibroblast cells that produce collagen in the skin, so not only does the skin tone and texture improve, but a tightening effect also occurs, which is what makes this professional clinical peel so revolutionary.
At this point, you’re probably thinking – this sounds great, but what’s the catch?
Downtime.
Patients need to prepare for about 3-4 days of social downtime. Over this period, the skin may have a slight blue haze, and it will begin to peel and flake off.
After a few days of laying low and finally catching up on all that reading you never get to, or those movies you never get to watch, you’ll be ready to face the world again with a fresh, glowing face.
