Mommy Makeover Before & After Case 833

This 53-year-old woman was unhappy with the excess skin and fat of her abdomen creating a pouch-like appearance over her c-section scar, and was looking for a flatter and tighter appearing tummy.  She also had concerns with the sagging appearance of her breasts.

During her consultation with us here at The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Waterloo, ON, she decided on two surgeries at the same time which has been affectionately termed as a "Mommy Makeover" which includes an Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) along with breast surgery.  In her case, she had a Breast Lift (Mastopexy).

The abdominoplasty was performed to remove the excess skin and fat (in which 1.4 kilograms of tissue was removed) which also helped to lift the mons pubis ptosis, and to tighten the abdominal muscles.  Liposuction was also done to her flanks and mons pubis to help with a flatter appearance and improved contour.  She also had some asymmetrical tethering from her previous abdominal scar which was corrected during surgery.

Additionally, she had a mastopexy to elevate the breast tissue to a higher position on the chest wall and reposition both nipples.

Just look at her transformation!  She tells us that she felt good by the fifth day after her surgery with very little discomfort and went back to work after 1 week.

It has now been just 3 short months since the day of her surgery.  The before and after photos seen here show a much flatter and tighter appearing tummy and core, and her breast shape and nipple position are greatly improved.  The redness of her scars will fade over time.
