Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 806

This 59-year-old woman was unhappy with the resulting excess fat and skin after a very successful journey with weight loss.

After going through the recommendations provided at The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Waterloo, ON she decided on a standard abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) procedure.  

The abdominoplasty was performed to remove the excess skin and fat, and to tighten the abdominal muscles.  Liposuction was also done to her flanks and mons pubis to help with a flatter appearance and improved contour. 

It has now been just 3 short months since the day of her surgery and she tells us that the recovery was better than she expected and that she is back to all of her pre-surgery activities!  The before and after photos seen here show a much flatter and tighter appearing tummy and core.  There is still redness of her scar which will continue to fade over time to a near invisible line.

It should be noted that she was initially recommended a Fleur-De-Lys approach to the abdominoplasty which she decided against, the result of which is some remaining laxity of her upper abdomen that the Fleur-De-Lys approach would have addressed.
