Before & After
Case Details
This 61-year-old woman previously had breast augmentation surgery almost 17 years ago (approx. 400c saline implants) with another surgeon. She came to The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Waterloo, ON as she was unhappy with the changes to her breasts over time, had felt that they were too heavy and that it was time to have them removed at this point of her life.
During her consultation, she decided to have her implants removed and to have mastopexy surgery (breast lift) instead of adding implants back in by using her natural size and lifting the nipples to a more desirable position. She felt that simply exchanging or keeping her implants would lead to more surgery in the future.
She had breast implant removal surgery with capsulectomy and a mastopexy to help lift the nipples into a higher and forward facing position.
The result seen here 3.5 months after surgery demonstrates that the shape of her breasts is well maintained and that nipples are in correct position. The redness of her scarring will continue to fade over time. She is so happy with her decision.
