Breast Revision / Implant Removal Before & After Case 883

This 55-year-old woman previously had breast augmentation surgery with another surgeon more than 20 years ago.  She came to The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Waterloo, ON as she was unhappy with the changes to her breast and implants over time causing them to be malpositioned.  She had also discovered with further routine investigation that her implants had rupture and had contractures of the capsule that naturally forms around the implant after surgery.

It was decided to have her implants exchanged to a slightly larger size at her request, have the capsules removed and have a mastopexy (breast lift).

She had breast implant revision surgery to remove her original implants (355cc textured silicone) and replaced with smooth, round silicone implants (475cc & 450cc to compensate for pre-operative asymmetry).  The mastopexy (breast lift) helped to elevate the implants into a more desirable position with nipples facing forward.

She is so very happy with her results and tells us that it's the first time that she's had what she describes as beautiful breasts!  The result seen here just 3.5 months after surgery demonstrates that the shape and position are much improved.  Her scars still have some redness to them, but this will continue to fade over time.
