BELKYRA™
BELKYRA™ is a safe and effective injectable treatment to contour the area under the jawline. The injections are composed of deoxycholic acid, which is a fat-metabolizing agent found naturally in our bodies. Once injected, this substance works to break down the membranes of targeted fat cells, which causes them to collapse and be processed naturally by the body.
Treatments are quick and easy. The entire procedure—from the application of a local anesthetic, to establishing and marking the ideal injection pattern underneath the chin, and finally administering the injections—lasts about 30 minutes. Following treatment, you should be able to return to your normal activities, though you might experience some swelling, tenderness, and bruising around the injection site for a few days. Over 2 to 4 weeks, you’ll begin to see a gradual reduction of fullness in the area.
For some, just one treatment is enough, but depending on the amount of fat in the area, the procedure may be repeated 2 to 6 times over several months to achieve your optimal outcome. The good news? Using the same revolutionary CoolSculpting technology, CoolMini targets unwanted fat via Cryolipolysis®, an innovative cooling process that gently and effectively freezes fat cells. Once treated, the targeted fat cells are processed and naturally cleared by the body over several weeks, revealing a more defined jawline and an improved profile.
The process is simple, safe and effective, usually lasting 45 minutes or less. The CoolMini applicator is positioned over your chin, and controlled cooling is applied. The treatment is comfortable, and completely external with no incisions or injections involved. After treatment, some minor bruising and swelling may occur, but you should be able to go about your regular routine without interruption. For some patients, one treatment will achieve the desired outcomes, but two sessions may be required for best results.
Surgical Procedures.
