Breast Revision / Implant Removal Before & After Case 934

This 50-year-old woman previously had breast augmentation surgery and came to The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Waterloo, ON as she was unhappy with the changes to her breasts implants that had stretched the lower pole area, appeared "droopy" and were too big.

It was decided to have her implants exchanged and have a mastopexy (breast lift) with the use of GalaFLEX.  GalaFLEX is an absorbable, lattice-like surgical scaffold—frequently called an "internal bra"—used in plastic and reconstructive breast surgeries to reinforce weak soft tissue

She had breast implant revision surgery to remove her original 520cc silicone implants and replaced with 405cc silicone implants.  The mastopexy (breast lift) helped to elevate the implants into a more desirable position and the GalaFLEX was used to reinforce the lower pole of both breasts.

She is happy with her results!  The result seen here just less than 3 months after surgery demonstrates that the position and "droopiness" are much improved.  Her scars still have some redness to them, but this will continue to fade over time.
