Turn back time with the Halo™ laser!

We all have features of our skin that we would love to change.
Blemishes, pigmentation, sun damage and wrinkles are a natural part of getting older. As we age, the signs of sun damage and natural wear begin to appear on our skin. Halo laser skin rejuvenation treatments give our Kitchener-Waterloo patients a unique opportunity to fade these signs of aging for a fresh complexion.

Let age bring you tranquility and wisdom, not wrinkles!
The Halo laser treatment lets us target visible signs of damage and aging using an innovative hybrid laser treatment system.

What makes the Halo laser special?

Sarah and Natalie reading through bookCustomization and choice! At The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, we begin each skin consultation with a VISIA® Complexion Analysis. During your consultation, one of our laser specialists, Sarah or Natalie, will assess the unique composition of your skin and outline your treatment goals. This allows our team to discuss the various options and choose the right approach for you. You will still look like you, but new!

Halo™ laser treatments are uniquely specialized for your skin.
Halo is a hybrid fractional laser; this means that our specialists can choose from multiple laser wavelengths (ablative and non-ablative) to target your specific areas of concern. Ablative lasers remove the thin top layers of the skin and are more effective when treating lines, scars, wrinkles, and discolouration, as they trigger the skin’s natural healing processes. Non-ablative lasers penetrate deeper into the skin’s surface, but maintain the integrity of the upper layers, meaning less downtime is required. Due to the deeper penetration, non-ablative lasers are very effective at reaching deeper pigmentation concerns, while also increasing collagen production and giving the skin a tightened effect.

As the Halo™ laser has both wavelengths, we can personalize your laser treatment to maximize results while working with the amount of downtime you can allow post treatment. Sarah and Natalie operating laser machine
The option of multiple wavelengths allows us to control the depth and intensity of the procedure. For example, if you are able to manage a bit more downtime, a higher degree of ablative laser can provide a more aggressive surface treatment, but the skin will need more time to heal. On the other hand, a higher degree of the non-ablative laser can be incredibly effective at addressing deeper skin concerns without damaging the skin’s surface. We love the Halo laser because you don’t need to choose just one type of laser treatment! Once we assess your skin, our team will choose the wavelength application that’s perfect for you.

The Halo™ laser holistically renews skin to address multiple concerns at once.
Halo technology enables us to provide a variety of benefits, which include:

  • Smoothing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Softening pigmentation
  • Addressing sun damage

The Halo delivers skin that is resurfaced with renewed texture. We can also address scar tissue and cause an overall tightening effect. Halo laser treatments can be used in a multitude of anatomic locations, including the face, chest, neck, and hands for a rejuvenated, more youthful look.

Why not combine treatments?

During your initial consultation, ask us about combination treatments to enhance your results. We may recommend Forever Young BBL Photo-Rejuvenation to maximize the reduction of discolouration or a skin care regimen to help maintain your results (learn more in this blog post).
