All About the Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, Waterloo, Chin Filler

The very best in injectable treatments encompasses not only lip injections and facial rejuvenation but also non-surgical rhinoplasty using dermal fillers at our plastic surgery practice.

Our patients from Waterloo, London, Kitchener, and throughout Ontario appreciate non-surgical rhinoplasty because it addresses concerns with the nose’s shape and silhouette. And it comes without the healing time and discomfort of traditional nose surgery.

Following the highest safety standards and leading-edge injection techniques, the members of The Beauty Nurse® team can refine the shape of the nose. In this blog post, nurse injector Majid explains just what’s involved with a non-surgical nose job.

What can a non-surgical nose job fix?

A non-surgical rhinoplasty, also known as a non-surgical nose job or liquid rhinoplasty, is a non-invasive way for my patients to achieve an aesthetic look of their nose that they love!

Non-surgical rhinoplasty can address:

  • An underdeveloped bridge
  • Dips or bumps that create an uneven or undesirable shape
  • A bulbous or undefined nasal tip

Unfortunately, a non-surgical nose job cannot make your nose smaller or fix functional issues that impair breathing. For these kinds of concerns, surgical rhinoplasty is required. Glamour magazine offers helpful details about the procedure and before-and-after photos of non-surgical nose jobs.

How does a liquid rhinoplasty work?

Dermal fillers are used to add volume where it is needed. This allows me to shape and sculpt your features to achieve your desired look. The dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally produced by your body and is beautifully compatible with your skin, so the treatment blends seamlessly with your natural features.

We can also use fillers for chin augmentation, as explained in this blog post. Chin augmentation can enhance or create balance among the facial features, including your nose.

Can a non-surgical nose job make your nose thinner?

A non-surgical rhinoplasty can make a nose appear more refined but not necessarily thinner. During your consultation process, I will assess your needs and the outcomes you have in mind. We will then create a treatment plan that will achieve your goals.

Once the treatment plan is established, I will use hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers to achieve the desired effect. This may happen with one treatment, or it may need to be spaced out over a few treatments to build the desired shape in stages. You can see some of our patients’ non-surgical rhinoplasty results in their before-and-after photos.

How long does non-surgical rhinoplasty last?

The treatment’s effect is immediate, but the result takes about two weeks to take its final shape. There can be some mild redness and swelling, which subsides over a day or two after your treatment.

Over time (approximately 12 months), the filler is metabolized by the body. This differs between patients depending on how their bodies metabolize the filler. At this point, the treatment can be repeated to maintain your results, similar to the maintenance required for lip injections and BOTOX COSMETIC®.

Love your nose.

A non-surgical rhinoplasty is an amazing option for the right candidate! If you want to change the look of your nose, and you’d prefer to avoid the downtime and cost associated with surgery, a non-surgical nose job may work for you.
